About Us

Geese on the Lake The land at Headley Park dates back to the 16th century.

There has been a great deal of history in this quiet corner of Hampshire over hundreds of years. Enthusiasts have brought together fragments of information and rewoven the big tapestry depicting it.

Headley Park, or Lodge House as it was once called, is one such fragment. What was once a hunting lodge for the nobility was owned by a shipping magnate, became a boarding school and is now a public house.

The information we have collected we believe should be available to anyone with an interest in our local history. We provide it here to preserve it, in the hope that it will be of some value to someone one day.
